Solar energy can be converted into heat for domestic and commercial properties whilst reducing carbon emissions.

Solar Solutions

Here at Heat Doc we offer two Solar solutions for customers in Ireland, with our Solar Thermal and Solar Photovoltaic solutions.

Solar energy can be converted into heat to generate hot water for domestic and commercial properties whilst at the same time helping to reduce carbon emissions and reduce global warming.

The process is simple and effective and entirely renewable – with proven cost savings evident over conventional hot water heating types.

Solar Thermal

Solar thermal technology captures the sun’s energy to produce heat, primarily for domestic hot water and space heating. Utilizing solar collectors, sunlight is absorbed and used to heat a circulating fluid, typically a mixture of water and antifreeze. This heated fluid then provides warmth for homes, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and decreasing greenhouse gas emissions. Unlike photovoltaic solar panels, which transform sunlight into electricity, solar thermal systems focus on harnessing the sun’s radiant heat for direct thermal applications.

Solar Photovoltaic

Solar power panels generate electricity from sunlight. The roof mounted photovoltaic (PV) panels collect the suns light and converts the energy into DC current. This is fed through an inverter and converted to 240V AC electricity to power your home. The amount of electricity you can produce depends on the number and efficiency of the panels and the size of the inverter. Your home remains connected to the power grid so when you generate more electricity than you need you can feed it into the grid or purchase more from the grid when you are not producing enough to meet your requirements.
