Air Source Heat Pumps
The Air Source Heat Pump has become a very popular solution due to the fact that it can be installed without any major civil works. Air source heat pumps operate by extracting freely available renewable energy from the outside ambient air to provide Heating & Hot water for your home or business. The air source heatpump will operate efficiently extracting renewable energy from the air to – 20 degrees celcius
Danfoss DHP-AQ air source heat pump (Seasonal Performance Factor 413%)
The Danfoss DHP-AQ air source heat pump uses innovative technology to operate at the highest possible annual efficiency, in fact, the DHP-AQ has one of the best seasonal performances in the market, due to non-stop optimisation of key performance parameters air flow (variable speed EC fan), heat pump (electronic EXP valve) and heating distribution (Optimum technology). Once the DHP-AQ is commissioned, no additional adjustments are required to ensure that the heat pump performs optimally.
Stays hot in the cold
Even at -20°C, the DHP-AQ will keep a house comfortably heated. Inbuilt defrosting technology ensures the energy efficiency and full functionality of the heat pump even during a cold winter. The defrosting system of the DHP-AQ is fully demand controlled and will only run when necessary. The built-in heated drip-tray ensures that condensed water is channelled away properly from the heat pump.
Hot water too will not be affected in the cold winter with a continuous sustainable production. Additional heaters are not required, as the heat pump will supply 100% of the hot water demand even during cold periods (patented TWS technology provide higher hot water volumes and quicker recharge time)
Low Sound Levels
The DHP-AQ has been developed to deliver one of the lowest sound levels in the market during operational mode. Low sound levels are achieved by the unique acoustic engineered design and an optimised air flow.
Opti technology incorporates an intelligent control system that via speed controlled circulation pumps ensures that the performance is always adjusted to the prevailing requirements and conditions of the heating system. This ensures the heat pump always operates in the most efficient manner. It delivers maximum efficiency with minimum energy consumption guaranteeing you the highest possible SPF, second by second, hour by hour.
TWS technology (Tap Water Stratification)
Danfoss has developed a unique and patented method of water heating; TWS. This function results in more efficient heat transfer and more effective layering of water. The method supplies plenty of hot water quickly without producing ‘unnecessarily’ hot water. This allows a TWS equipped heat pump to retain its phenomenal efficiency. A TWS water heater uses a technique where the hot water from the heat pump is led through a coil in the water to be heated. The water in the heater is also split so that some of the water reaches the correct temperature more quickly. TWS provides a more efficient heat transfer and more hot water.
Flexible heat pump designs
The DHP-AQ is applicable for all types of properties with an extensive range from 6kW to 36kW. The controller is flexible and can be adapted to meet customer specific needs in terms of comfort (heating, cooling and hot water). It includes a timer/calendar function for further adaptation and the intelligence of the controller ensures that no manual intervention is needed once the heat pump is commissioned.
